The humanities - philosophy, history, logic, literature, community development, art history - teach us to think reflectively, to begin to deal with the new as it occurs to us, to dare. They also help us participate more fully in the public world by developing skills in critical reflection and engagement.
What is being proposed are non-credit university level courses offered in English and French that are developed and co-taught by concordia faculty and grad students, incorprating the experiences of the residents and run out of community settings.
The first Pilot course took place in the neighbourhood of N.D.G.
Congratulations to participants who completed the First Open University Course in the Community!
